Who am I?

images4120,000 points, 6,600 boards, 6,100 dishes, 2nd team All-American, 1st team All-NBA, 2nd team All-NBA, 3rd team All-NBA, 10 All-Star games, a spot in Springfield? Yeah, those are all nice, but I’m missing one thing: a championship. Call me Mr. 2nd Place because I have lived next door to first place my whole career. We were the favorites my senior year. Now every time they talk about upsets, our loss gets mentioned. I kinda get sick of seeing that guy run around looking for a hug. Make matters worse I was part of a team that lost in the finals twice. Once to the end of a dynasty, and another to the beginning of a dynasty. I even got traded to a champion, but couldn’t help them repeat.

  4. I think that’s who you’re looking for, but didn’t he win an NBA championship?

  5. Kind of embarrassed about that Karl Malone guess.

  6. Wow – now who’s embarrassed. I missed one.

  7. Gonna need a rules interpretation here. :)

  8. 94-95, right? I also thought “a spot in Springfield?” meant that the guy wasn’t in the HOF yet.

  9. 94-95- yes. The question mark was to indicate if it was all worth it – to not have a ring that is.
